Appeal of DPR Head Alexander Zakharchenko on second anniversary of tragedy at Bosse st.

Dear fellow countrymen! On January 22, 2015, our Republic experienced a huge shock. Exactly two years ago, Ukrainian saboteurs meanly, cynically and ruthlessly fired with mortar onto one of the busiest districts of Donetsk. The shelling occurred during rush hour, when people were on their way to work. Our countrymen were killed. Residents of the Donetsk People's Republic. All entire country plunged into mourning.

The enemy is trying to evoke fear in us, sow panic. They did not succeed. All of us have experienced a lot of pain... The pain of loss and anger. Hatred for the killers, Nazi butchers. We did not frightened, and, with clenched teeth, continued our struggle.

It is in our nature, in the mentality of the Russian people to unite in times of general danger. When our homeland, our friends and family are under attack of a treacherous enemy, we unite. We become one single fist, the power that no one can resist.

This was the case after Bosse. Soon after the tragedy in Donetsk, the Donetsk People's Republic troops liberated Uglegorsk, Debaltsevo. We forced Ukraine to sign the Minsk agreements. Our enemies have bather their faces with blood.

But, unfortunately, Kiev did not realize its mistake. Brutal punishers again and again continue to step on the same rake. Attacks on civilian towns and districts of the Donetsk People's Republic continued in 2015. There were numerous terrorist threats in 2016, too. We will never forget the victims of brutal Ukrainian aggression – our fellow countrymen who were killed in a bus near Volnovakha. Shot civilians at checkpoints in Elenovka and Majorsk will remain in our memory. We will never forgive the perpetrators and customers of a vile terrorist act in the center of Donetsk, which killed Arsen Pavlov and Eugene Gadliya.

We will always remember the bloody crimes of the Nazi executioners. And may the enemy know – for every drop of blood he will pay triply. So it was and always will be!

The Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic

Alexander Zakharchenko
