Alexander Zakharchenko: "West should put pressure on Poroshenko"
On Wednesday, February 15, in Minsk during the meeting of the Tripartite Contact Group on the settlement of the situation in the Donbass, agreements were reached on the withdrawal of all heavy weapons in the conflict zone until 20 February.
The Head of the Donetsk People's Republic Alexander Zakharchenko, commenting on the outcome of the tripartite group's negotiations in Minsk, noted that these agreements relate to, first of all, the Ukrainian side – the Donetsk People's Republic observes Minsk-2.
"The Ukrainian side promised so much for the almost three years of war and fulfilled so few promises that we do not have a single gram of faith in Kiev's promises. And this agreement, in fact, applies to, above all, Kiev. Someone recorded our tanks in Yasinovataya? No! Because they weren't any and there are no now. The whole world saw Ukrainian tanks in Avdeyevka. We fulfilled and from now on ready to fulfill the Minsk agreements. But Kiev both cannot and does not want to. The conclusion is that an agreement on the withdrawal of heavy weapons before February 20 can be performed only if the West – that is, France, Germany and the US – will actually put pressure on Poroshenko," Alexander Zakharchenko said.
