DPR Head congratulates capital’s residents on Kirovsky District Day
On Friday, September 1, the Head of the Donetsk People's Republic Alexander Zakharchenko took part in festivities timed to the 80th anniversary of the Kirovsky district’s founding in the city of Donetsk.
A festive concert was held at the Kirovets stadium and brought together more than 5,000 inhabitants of the district.
Addressing all those present, the Head of the DPR put particular stress on the persistence and indomitable spirit of the residents of Donetsk and the Kirovsky district, one of the areas most affected by the AFU shelling.
"Dear residents of Donetsk, residents of the Kirovsky district. We all love our country, our Hero City Donetsk. Today our Kirovsky district is marking an anniversary – 80 years. We celebrate this holiday together, because we love our district, our city. That’s the exact feature of all Donetsk residents – love for the Motherland and indomitable spirit. Dear citizens, I congratulate you on the 80th anniversary of the Kirovsky district!" said the DPR Head Alexander Zakharchenko.
The acting mayor of Donetsk Alexey Kulemzin and the district head Yury Budrin also congratulated residents of the Kirovsky district on the holiday. Alexey Kulemzin awarded Yury Budrin the 1st class Badge of Honour for his personal contribution to the social and economic development of the district. Inhabitants of the district received certificates and letters of gratitude from the city administration.
The event was followed by demonstration performances of athletes representing district sports schools. Teams of the local Franko House of Culture presented to the audience their dance numbers.
