DPR engineer killed by ammunition explosion during power lines inspection near Yasinovataya
The head of the Yasinovataya District Operational Service of the Republican Regional Energy Supply Company, Pavel Gritsenko, perished in an ordnance explosion while inspecting the damage to a power transmission line near Yasinovataya, reported the press service of the DPR Ministry of Coal and Energy.
"Today, when inspecting the damage sustained by a power transmission line due to hostilities, Pavel Vladimirovich Gritsenko, the head of the District Operational Service of the Republican Regional Energy Supply Company, perished as a result of exploding ordnance," the department noted. "The tragedy occurred during the working visit, it was planned to inspect the site and prepare for the reconstruction of the power line running from the Razdolnaya substation and feeding the village of Verkhnetoretskoye with power."
The Ministry stressed that the deceased had worked as a power engineer for 13 years. Since the outset of military operations in Donbass, he participated in the reconstruction works in the Yasinovataya district.
"The leadership and the staff of the Ministry express their sincere condolences and deep sympathy to the family members, relatives, and friends of Pavel Gritsenko," the Ministry of Coal and Energy added.
It is noted that the deceased had two small sons.
